Turian Liquors Empty Turian Liquors

Post by Guest Sat May 04, 2013 9:10 pm

A common after-dinner beverage; a thick, sweet liquor kept in Turian bottles and served at the Free's feet in tiny multi-colored glasses. There are a wide variety of liquors, usually made from spices and fruits, but occasionally made from blackwine, nut extracts or even chocolate extracted into alcohol. These liquors are served in tiny, stemmed glasses, and the bottles and glassware for them is as decorative as the liquors are sweet and heavy.

"It is time for the liquors, slave," I told her.
"Yes, Master," she whispered.
"Yes," said Glyco. "The liquors!"
First from the kitchen, bearing her tray, came the volumptuos slave of Aemilianuus. Behind her, too with her tray, came the little dark-haired slave. In a moment both were deferentially serving. The collared softness of the dark-haired girl well set off the metal of the tray, and the small multicolored glasses and bottles upon it.

She picked up the small tray from the stand near the table. On it was the small vessel containing a sweet, thick liquor from distant Turia, the Ar of the South, and the two tiny glasses from which we had sipped it.

The liquors of Turia are usually regarded as the best ...

Publius, to my surprise, selected a liquor of Turia. "Those of Turia are the best," he said to Drusus Rencius, smiling, almost apologetically.
